And The Brick Goes On
5/10/2023
Brick Laying Has Begun!
You will notice two different colors of brick along the side of the building that faces the future extended Chapman Avenue. As we progress with the brick façades around all sides of the new building, a variety of building styles, brick colors, heights and architectural features will emerge to give visual interest to the block and provide a different “visual identity” for each side. When you pass by the site, you’ll see that the three tower cranes have all been removed. Within the next few months the exterior wall framing, blue insulation board, black waterproofing material and windows will be substantially completed. We are busy with interior work as well. Metal studs for framing interior walls just started. This will define hallways and other interior spaces. Plumbing pipes for water and sanitary stacks, mechanical ductwork and electrical work are all in progress. Underground utilities are now being installed around the site. At the intersection of Halpine Road and Chapman Avenue we are working on new sidewalks and handicap ramps, new traffic and pedestrian signals, and minor adjustments to curb alignments within that intersection.
